Interoperability Framework Initiative launched

Since it was created, just 5 years ago, TAHI has really established itself as a force for change, for exploiting new technologies, for enabling new services and their delivery to the consumer. Owned by its strong and committed membership, TAHI is making the difference that is speeding up the adoption of new services using broadband intelligently.

Its Projects have solved many of the challenges of delivering multiple services with greatly differing requirements across many different networks to a wide range of customer types. TAHI develops methodologies and blueprints to make it easy for its members, service providers, equipment manufacturers, network operators to deliver new and exiting applications and services to all consumers in their newly connected homes.

Its Working Groups are bringing understanding of the wants and needs of consumers, the benefits of services provision, the architectures for delivery. TAHI members are discovering new and vital ideas and ways of bringing new and better services to the consumer to the benefit of all stakeholders.

Its Industry Sector Groups and the TAHI Commercialisation Programme is a determined effort to bring new applications and services to a much wider audience. More

Out of work carried out by TAHI Members in the ISGs and Interoperability Working Groups, TAHI has identified the next major barrier to the growth of services to people in connected homes: Services and equipment will need to Interoperate and do so across all the market sector services to the home and the resultant applications in it. Therefore, based on the TAHI Open Architecture, TAHI has launched its Interoperability Framework Initiative. More
