TAHI INTEROPERABILITY GROUP

The standing expert group set up by the TAHI Board

With defined applications and trials underway, the TAHI Interoperability Group is working to define a framework that will support the integration, delivery, use and payment for the applications and services provided.

Experts in this group are active in Standardisation in the areas of Home Systems and Interoperability and are members of International and European Standardisation Groups as well as in the relevant BSI panels. TAHI encourages its members to take part in these Standardisation activities andthrough its membership of the relevant BSI panel can introduce individuals from TAHI member organisations as UK experts. (Contact the TAHI Secretariat for details).

It is working with International Standards organisations and EU Projects to define an Interoperability Framework that will enable service delivery and home based applications to be operated independently of underlying technology.

The outcome of this work will be the TAHI Interoperability Framework (derived from the TAHI Open Architecture work) that defines a methodology for Service Providers, Application Designers, Network Operators and Equipment Manufacturers every where to use as a standard tool for services delivery to home-based users.

This valuable work will characterise the development of codes of practice for service delivery, networks, home systems and equipment reinforced and certified with a Mark of Conformity.

This group has been accumulating many documents and notes of its meetings and agendas for forthcoming meetings can be found on the Documents page
